Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction

Attic Treasures
Behind the attic stairs upon a shelf,A box, long left to gather dust and mold
Contains the treasures of my younger self:
The story of my life in trinkets told.
But other baubles here, in dust encased,
Entice my mind with tales I can't recall;
These youthful pearls by time were long erased -
Interred for years in cardboard's dusty pall.
Still deeper then, within this treasure chest,
A coin, a card - enigmas yet unknown;
Peculiar clues of generations past
Are mixed perplexingly amongst my own.
But then, should I discard these oldest finds,
What might some future offspring do with mine?
