Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction
The following is a piece of writing submitted by Janee on January 10, 2008
"This short little poem is a bit depressing, but I didn't mean for it to be. I wanted to point out that life has a way of wearing people down, and sometimes no one else knows or realizes it."
Where Experience and Expectation Collide
Where experience and expectation collide -a procession of foaming waves
bursting with cruel ferocity
upon rigid, unyielding rock,
inexorable and unending -
Hope blindly succumbs to hopeless demise,
slowly eroding, washing away
unseen and unnoticed
in silence.
