The following is a piece of writing submitted by KC Rell on August 17, 2008
"This is, as you expected, about my dog Roxy, and it's a true story."
My forever Guardian Angel
When a strangerwas near,
she'd protect me
by barking.
My Protector.
When I was sick,
she'd lay next to me
and sleep.
My Healer.
When I wouldn't eat,
she'd nudge her dog food
next to me.
My Smiler.
And when I'd found
a lump
on her side and her leg,
she'd tell me it was okay
by licking my face.
My Comforter.
And now,
two years later,
I still feel her here.
Always
Protecting, Healing,
Smiling, Comforting.
My forever Guardian Angel.
