I Watched Him Watch
I watched him watch all winter long,a clock that had no face.
Its arms protruded from the wall,
and hung limply in disgrace.
I watched him watch on Friday night,
with all the scenes in black and white,
a film that had no sound.
He held his ears and hit the ground,
and said to turn the volume down.
