Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction
The following is a piece of writing submitted by Noah on January 28, 2011
"I don't know if this worked, but I hope so!"
Hiding from the Enemy
I lie here in my hiding place,Not knowing what to think.
I see my evil enemy,
And wish that I could shrink.
This hideout of a darkened cave,
Though it's not very bright,
Is better that a darkened hole,
Without a single light.
I'm thrown into that hole head first,
Yes, almost every day.
And so I try with all my might
To get myself away.
And so I'm quite afraid right now,
And though I have no knees,
I think they would be shaking now—
"Hun, I found the keys!"
