Small Injustice—A Poem for Brittney
A little girl in light blue poplinSat among some wild daisies;
White as snow the daisies were and
Gladdened her in many waysies.
She took a breath and filled her lungs with
Light, sweet fragrance white and pure that
Seemed to lift her from the earth and
To her worries be a cure, but
Then her mother called to her that
Suppertime was now or ne'er.
She hopped up fast and flew away--
The daisies thought it wasn't fair.
