"If we can't accept the flaws of our loves them we will go unloved"
A Parable: Two Old Friends Reunite
While on a flight to another state, a man scheduled a short layover in his hometown. Once there he called his school friend and they set up a date to get together and talk over old times. He was quite surprised how happy his friend was and asked him the cause of such exuberance."You won't believe me George but I've met the woman of my dreams. She is beautiful and perfect in every way and I'm going to ask her to be my bride."
George was happy to hear this and told his friend he would love to meet her. The friend said he was on his way to see his girlfriend now and insisted George come along so he would see how perfect his bride to be was.
They all went to lunch together and after as his friend took him back to the airport he asked George of his opinion of his love.
"Well my friend as you say she is quite lovely but I couldn't say perfect. Now don't get me wrong but I just can't call a woman perfect if she has a hump on her back."
The friend told George that he didn't know what he was talking about, that he had never seem a hump and that her knew he now had the perfect woman.
George boarded his plane and flew on to where he was headed. Then on the return trip, he made the same arrangements to stop in his old hometown. Once again, he called his friend and once again, they met. This time however his friend did not seem happy, no in fact he seem downright morose.
"Whatever in the world is the matter, just a short while ago you were the happiest man in the world and now you seem the saddest?"
"I broke up with my girlfriend. George you were right, she did have a hump. I can't believe I never noticed, I mean if you look just the right way it's there in plain sight. Once I saw it that was all I seem to notice, every time we would go to kiss I start to put my arms around her and bump into her hump. It just got so bad that it was all I could think about and in the end I decided we were incompatible and broke up with her."
The moral of this story is "If you look hard enough you will find flaws in anything"
