"Why do so many words that start with X sound like a word a word that starts with Z"
Alphabet Soup - X
As you search for a word that starts with XYou'll find it's harder to do than reversing a hex
Well sure there's Xenon you know that's a gas
And Xena warrior princess with class
How about xenophobia a fear of the foreign
These all are good words and none that are boring
And all are spelled with X as you clearly can see
But is it really X if sounds like a Z
I forgot about xmas a word hated by many
I don't know for sure but its way over twenty
Particularly those who belong to the church
To know this is true didn't take much research
We all are comfortable with words that use X
Such as Expect or sex or even my dog Rex
So we do use X and some use it everyday
At work and at school and even at play
Just stop spelling words with it when you need a Z
Unless you need them when you say the ABC's
