"This is a true story that happened at my granddaughter's school "
Newspaper Reporter
Friday April 24 will go down as a day of mixed emotions at Mesa Middle School. While most of the school was celebrating the birthday of Jasmine Taylor, one of their brightest students, twelve middle schoolers became ill after drinking water from bottles purchased from school vending machines. Although six of these students were sent to the local hospital for observation, all twelve were thought to be all right with no serious side effects. The purchasers of the bottled water said it was sealed when, purchased, and claimed by students to have a bleach taste. All water vending machines used in the school district were shut down pending investigation and the FBI was called in. The water bottling company claims it was some bottles contaminated before filling and was not an act of terrorism. Mesa Middle School is hoping to have pure water to offer it students again maybe as early as this coming Monday.
When asked for a comment Miss Taylor said, she was sorry to hear that some kids got sick but was glad to find out they would be all right.
