Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction

"We all love spring but dread what follows"
Spring is Sweet but Next Comes the Heat
It seldom snows in our neighborhoodStill to long for spring is to be understood
Our winters are mild and our summers hot
But with spring comes flowers that mean quite a lot
The blooms burst with color like almost overnight
As they try to erase some of the intercity blight
For as spring brings hope there is also despair
As hope without consequence is really quite rare
We all know what follows soon after our spring
Is the searing heat that summer will bring
Yes summer steals the air that smell of fresh blooms
And instead gives us something scented with fumes
Yet who among us could not love the spring
Tho as we know it is fleeting and will soon take wing
We'll take what we can in this world where we live
And take any pleasure that springtime can give
