Thankful at Thanksgiving

The family's round the table and we're just about to eat
But first we have to all give thanks, we go from seat to seat
We kids gave thanks for silly things like football teams and toys
And so it went except Bobby the youngest of all us boys
He gave thanks to God for allowing Gramps to be still here
We all agreed then said Amen as dear grandma shed a tear
Such a little kid and yet so smart he showed us what it for
Thanksgiving is for family and that's a fact you can't ignore
