Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction
The following is a piece of writing submitted by R. Wesley Lovil on December 2, 2012
"Each year we all want to change and yet we seldom do"
The March of Time
I'm Father Time I've been around here foreverI start each year anew but perfection is never
Back and back, going down through the ages
My life is a book and the years are like pages
Though many are similar they all are unique
And day follows day just as week follows week
Come New Years Eve I'm feeling old and so frail
Yes I'm ready for rebirth and the new year to set sail
Unlike you I start fresh on the first day of the year
Full of hope and yes promise with nothing to fear
Your life passes quickly like the blink of an eye
The only sure thing is that one day you will die
So do what you do but take time for reflection
Your life needs fulfillment as well as direction
