We met only by chance though some would say fate
We talked for a while and then I asked for a date
We laughed and we loved we stayed out all the night
And ever since then she's been my life's delight
A serendipitous meeting that changed me forever
I couldn't have done it on purpose I'm just not that clever
She's my lover, my friend, my partner in crime
And when we're together we laugh all the time
To all of you looking for love so long you've lost hope
With such pain and despair, it's too much to cope
Remember fate is too fickle to care if you wait
But as long as there's hope she may find you a mate
