Gather round you bachelors give a listen to my tale
And if you heed my story, in love you'll never fail
You want a girl who's pretty, I know that's what you say
Yet what really counts is inside when you give your heart away
Lust and hormones cause the spark but for the flame to grow
A couple needs to be best friends if you want those flames to glow
Yes be her knight and stand for her, give her dragons a good bash
But don't forget a thoughtful mate will empty out the trash
It's the simple things that make for love that lasts as long as time
