Mother's Day

Two little girls stand by a graveside
wishing for what can never be.
Nearly two years, long sad years
since that fateful, horrid day.
Father told them their mum was gone,
wouldn’t be coming home again.
The car was too fast to take the curve,
so many, many broken lives.
