Never tangle with an Eastern Brown
There are snakes where I live but you’d be playing with firein attempting to poke one: the result would be dire.
Most snakes are shy and get out of the way,
but the Eastern Brown is in for the fray.
He’ll rear up and bite you showing no fear.
You’d need help – and quickly – for your end would be near
if not rushed to the medics, where a doc on the scene
could quickly inject the antivenene.
So we watch where we walk, and we don’t go unshod,
and remember that snakes are not things to prod.
