"I really enjoy watching the birds in my garden."
The Currawong
The currawong sits on the edge of the bowl.Strong and sturdy; big beaked bird.
All shiny black with a white tipped tail.
And white winks hidden in folded wings.
He dips his beak, throws back his head.
The other birds are not in view-
They all respect the currawong.
The black one drinks his fill, then flies
‘Til his call is heard from distant treetops.
A rainbow of parrots return to my garden.
They all respect the currawong.
