The Body of Christ
What is the body of Christ?Is there really more to be seen?
It's the congregation of believers;
This is what the body means
To believe in One God
To unite seperate teams
Forebearing one another in love;
This is what the body means
Unity among the rightious
For all to be called his
Being peace makers in all the earth;
This is what the body is
To be lost sheep gatherers
To put behind what was
Making unity wherever it goes;
This is what the body does
It was nailed on a cross
For victory to be won
It was raised from the dead;
This is what the body's done
He is risen again!
No need to be laden with cares
Live your Life for God alone;
This is what the body shares
Receives healing to it's wounds;
Relief from Satan's chains;
Receives a love that's never heard of;
This is what the body gains
Selfish self ambitions,
Reluctancy to the cost,
Heavy chains that drag it down;
This is what the body's lost
Eternity with our father
Having what you need and more
No desease, sickness, or injuries;
This is what the body has in store
Toils, snares, temptation, tricks
Satisfaction that never lasts
Hurt, pain, doubt, and fear;
This is what the body's passed
In love and charity, meekness and peace,
Putting yourself last, and God first,
Selflessly giving all that it has;
This is how the body works
To be completely complete
To be fed as much as it feeds
To constantly be growing in Christ;
This is what the body needs
Believing in the son of God
Who paid in full our price
To preach the gospel to the nations;
THIS is the body of Christ.
