I wasn't sure what to title this thread, but I find the banner ads to be annoyingly close to the 'home' button (as well as some of the others), especially while in vertical orientation on my tablet. My thumbs aren't that big, but those buttons are pretty small. Several times, I have accidentally tapped on the ad while trying to hit the home button. I don't think I've ever had that problem while using my mouse on my computer, but I am now noticing how very close it is and am wondering if it may be a problem for some people.

Does this occur when the ads are in horizontal orientation? (across the top instead of down the side) or in either orientation?
AlexanderBeetle
The ads are very close in both situations, but I have only accidentally hit them while my tablet is vertical (which means the ad is horizontal). Of course, that doesn't mean I won't have the problem with both orientations in the future.
Douglas
when in vertical mode, the ads are further away than they were on the old site, so I think for now I'm just going to focus on the horizontal, and make sure that distance matches the distance when in vertical mode.
AlexanderBeetle
I assume when you say 'vertical mode' you mean the ads are vertical, because when my tablet is in vertical mode, the (horizontal) ads are actually closer to the home button.
Douglas
Yes, when the ADS are in vertical mode, they are much further from the menu bar than they are on the old version of the site. So I'm less worried about that. But I definitely see that when they are horizontal, they're very close to the menus.
Douglas
By the way, the ad distance is now the same when they are horizontal as when they are vertical. Hopefully that'll make a big difference. I don't want people doing accidental clicks, but I also don't want those ads taking up too much screen real estate, so it's a fine balance to find!
